The original is the official old Windows UI, Alpha-v1.0.6.2-hf.
It is NOT a screenshot of RimSort 1.17.1, a reproduction of the crash,
or evidence of a first-hand test. GameRoamer's cover is contextual imagery.
The unmodified original screenshot remains included in this bundle.

Changes made on 2026-10-23:
- Scale to a 1280 × 720 full-bleed canvas; top-aligned crop of the bottom.
- Add a dark blue translucent left-to-right gradient.
- Add Japanese editorial headline, explanatory copy and small GameRoamer name.
- Do not reconstruct, invent or retouch software controls or screenshot text.

The modified cover and its editable source are distributed under the GNU
General Public License, version 3. The complete, unmodified license text
is included as LICENSE.md. This work is provided without warranty; see
that license. RimSort contributors retain rights to their original work.

Files:
- windows_preview.png: original unmodified official screenshot
- rimsort-drag-update-cover.svg: editable layout with embedded screenshot
- render_cover.py: deterministic renderer, copied from GameRoamer's fixed cover kit
- cover-config.json: exact image/copy/layout configuration
- rimsort-drag-update-cover.jpg and .png: rendered cover
- LICENSE.md: original GPL v3 text
- SHA256SUMS.txt: file checksums

Rebuild on Linux with Python 3 and Pillow installed:
    cd source
    python render_cover.py cover-config.json

The renderer uses the external Noto Sans CJK JP fonts:
/usr/share/fonts/opentype/noto/NotoSansCJK-Bold.ttc
/usr/share/fonts/opentype/noto/NotoSansCJK-Regular.ttc
(e.g. Debian/Ubuntu fonts-noto-cjk). Fonts are not bundled here.
The raster JPG/PNG is the reference rendering. SVG is editable;
font metrics may vary in different SVG rendering programs.
